"Bonus Tracks for the US"

Posted Wednesday May 5

If you're an American who owns iTunes, has an extra $10 and doesn't own How We Operate then this applies to you! The US iTunes version of How We Operate contains two bonus tracks. The girlshapedlovedrug b-side "Troubleshooting" and a new song called "In Such Company". Unfortunately you have to buy the whole album to get these two songs. If you dont want to waste the money on songs you've alredy got or dont live in the US, it's very likely these two songs will appear on physical formats soon.

If you live in Australia or America Gomez's new album HOW WE OPERATE is out now.

UK fans aren't so lucky though, HWO has been delayed yet ANOTHER week, now it's release date is June 5, over a month past the Australian release :( However some good news for the UK folks is that the first single girlshapedlovedrug will be out a week before the album with the b-sides including the track that Australian and American fans are no doubt familiar with now Caravan, plus a new unheard song called Troubleshooting.

"The most low budget Gomez vid yet!"

When the band was at home in Brighton rehearsing for their SXSW performance and subsequent U.S. dates, budding auteur Tom Gray rented a HD camera for 100 quid and made a video for the title track of the band's new album, How We Operate. One camera. One take. See for yourself on the Gomez homepage.

This is old news, but i've been busy lately and have been unable to update. Okay straight to the point, How We Operate has been released as a single on the US iTunes site. It comes with the album version of How We Operate and a new song sung by Tom called Caravan. And you get both songs just 99c! If you're American then go there and download it now and if your not drop by the US iTunes site and listen to the 30 second samples. The sound great I can tell you. So far there has been no news of the single being availible to download in other countries or an actual CD release, but keep checking back because if anything is announced you'll hear about it here.

And you can also download the Shot Shot video on iTunes now.

"A whole cluster of news"

Posted Thursday March 16

We're finally able to announce that HWO will come out in the UK and Ireland on May 29 on Independiente. Apologies to those of you who thought the band had completely abandoned their native land - it took a little longer than expected to make arrangements for the release. The American and Australian release are still on for May 2.

Gomez has added a benefit show at the HousingWorks Used Book Cafe in New York City on Tuesday, March 28. All proceeds from this concert benefit Housing Works, a non-profit organization that provides housing, health care, job training, advocacy and many other services for homeless New Yorkers living with HIV and AIDS. Tickets go on sale Monday, March 13 at the bookstore and on their website. David Ford will be opening up this show as well as the night before at Hiro Ballroom.

After stripping down to a trio in march, Gomez further reduces to a sole ambassador in early April, as Ian crosses the globe to do two club shows in Melbourne and one in Sydney.

And finally, the Gomez webiste has officially confirmed How We Operate as the first US and Australian single. For those who missed out on leaking the track, the album version of the single is availible on the official Gomez website to stream right now.

"How We Operate"

Gomez's sixth studio album, "How We Operate", is set for release on 2nd May 2006 in the US (through ATO Records) and in Australia (through Shock Records). Other worldwide release dates have yet to be announced.
